Hi. Is there a way to uninstall the bing desktop? When I look for it, the message says there is no folder with that name. Any ideas?

look in add or remove programs, or CCleaner if you use that, it should be listed there.

It's listed in programs and when I try to uninstall it says the program is unavailable from the network and when I try to look further, it says there is no folder. Is this just a pesky microsoft product that keeps popping up? Any other ideas how to get rid of this? I also get an error message that bing files are corrupted and I need to reinstall it.

Bing is evil. I have a friend who bought a new Windows 7 computer, and even though he didn't want it, Bing seemed to be installed. He had to get a sighted friend who is good with computer technology to uninstall it for him because it was causing him to have problems on his computer.

Reinstall it, then remove it. It only keeps popping up because it is in windows updates, but is an optional update.
If you think you need it, you'll install it.
Next, you get offered it sometimes if your search engine is not set to Bing, so it is a toolbar.
If you like Google or something, after you set it, check the box that says you don't want other programs making suggestions.

sometimes programs you install wanna install toolbars and shit, so y if you are instaling sometingsometing, be sure to look for checkboxes to be sure that stuff isn't installed.
if somehow you miss it, just uninstall what you dont want.

Adobe was really bad about it, but has at least cleaned up and gives you a check box.
I watch too, but sometimes no matterhow good I watch I'll get the search bar or something they want me to have. Google Krome is another thing that comes with lots of stuff and the Google tool bar.
